Before payment

A first-time buyer’s pre-payment checklist

Confirm the exact item and current listing details before payment, while keeping delivery, quality and future availability separate from what is known now.

01

Confirm the exact option

Read the selected size, colour, configuration or bundle on the current page. Do not rely on the item title or default selection alone. If the option label does not match the product lead you saved, pause and resolve the difference first.

02

Recheck changing details

Price, stock indication, seller notes and product images may change. Open the live listing and record the date you checked it if the detail affects the decision. A directory entry is a starting point, not a replacement for that check.

03

Review the evidence that matters

Use the current size table, visible details and seller-supplied information to answer your own criteria. For clothing, compare measurements; for electronics, check compatibility; for bags and shoes, inspect the details that influence your use case.

04

Name the remaining unknowns

A pre-payment review cannot guarantee quality, delivery eligibility, final parcel costs or a future outcome. Write down any unanswered question and decide whether it is important enough to resolve before proceeding.

Editorial standard

Use evidence as a prompt, not a promise.

This independent guide explains a research method. Product records, images, prices, stock and seller notes can change. Confirm the selected option and current live listing before relying on a detail or making a payment decision.
